Ivan Brown leads business development and product design for IEX Options. Before IEX, Brown served as the Head of Options & Business Development for NYSE Group, where he was responsible for the P&L, product development, technology, trading operations, and legal & regulatory affairs for NYSE’s two options markets and trading floors. As Head of Business Development, he was also responsible for commercial policy, revenue growth strategy, and the evaluation and identification of M&A opportunities across NYSE’s transactions businesses.
During his time at NYSE, Brown oversaw the growth of NYSE Arca Options into the largest multi-list options market in the US, with NYSE Options gaining significant market share during his tenure. Brown also led the re-platforming of NYSE’s options technology stack to facilitate lower latencies and higher determinism, and was instrumental in the launch of NYSE Pacific in 2019 as the new home for the NYSE Arca Options trading floor in San Francisco.
Previously, Brown was Director of Strategic Initiatives for NYSE Options. He graduated top of his class from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management & Organizational Behavior.
