Bridget Van Kralingen was appointed Senior Vice President of IBM Global Markets & Sales in 2020. In this role she oversaw IBM's Global Operations sales teams, business partners, business development, and industry capability globally. She was responsible for IBM's $80B worldwide revenue, profit, and client satisfaction. As the SVP of IBM's Blockchain, Industry Platforms, Global Industry, IAs and Partnerships from 2012-2019, she established IBM as a leader in enterprise blockchain, as well as started up and grew IBM's Financial Services and RegTech software portfolio. Prior to that role she served as SVP of Global Business Services, leading more than 150,000 consultants and service providers in over 170 countries, providing business consulting, cloud and software development, and business process outsourcing across all industries. Bridget was named to Fortune's 50 Most Powerful Women list nine consecutive years from 2011-2019.
Prior to IBM, Bridget was Deloitte's National Managing Partner for US Financial Services, and Manager Partner, Strategy and Organizational Development. She began her career as a senior researcher for the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in South Africa before her time with Deloitte. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors for Royal Bank of Canada and the Travelers Companies. A graduate of the University of South Africa, she holds a Master of Commerce in Psychology.
