Eric is responsible for the development and growth of IEX Astral, overseeing system design, product management, and business operations.

Since joining IEX in 2013, Eric has contributed across a range of critical functions across the company, including ATS development, market operations, and business development. Of note, he served as a market and sales specialist for the regulatory approval and launch of IEX Exchange as a national securities exchange in 2016, conceiving and directing comprehensive sales campaigns with institutional asset managers, brokers, and proprietary trading firms.

Eric joined IEX from Chi-X, where he designed and developed hosted risk controls, FX trading systems, and ATS venues operated in international market centers. Previously, he developed new data management procedures and introduced new options products at options exchange ISE. Eric holds a degree in Economics and German from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
